Charles Dale "Chuck" Whitt

Mr. Charles Dale Whitt (Chuck), age 52, of Dobson, NC passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023. He was born to William H. Whitt and Lillie Whitt. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers Richard Lee Lester and William Whitt Jr.. Chuck loved to hunt, fish, and ride his motorcycle. He loved his family dearly. He was “Papa Chuck” to his grandchildren, and he loved them dearly. Chuck will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Chuck attended Dobson Church of God and worked for Riders trucking for many years. Left to cherish the memory of Chuck are his wife, Carolyn Marie Whitt of the home; Two stepchildren, Justin Dean and wife Chasity Dean of Mount Airy, Kayla Dean and fiancé Ben Trao of Mount Airy and his Brothers Dennis (Judith) Lester, James (Sheila) Lester, Patrick (Lynne) Lester, Christopher (Kim) Whitt, and a sister Kathrine (Terry) King and four precious grandchildren Jayden Zavala, Cholee Dean, Tanner Dean and Madelyn Johnson and several nieces and nephews. A funeral for Chuck will be held on Thursday April 20 at 2:00, at Moody Funeral Home in Dobson with Pastor Brandon Jones officiating. The burial will immediately follow in the Lester Whitt Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on April 20 at 1:00.
