Charles Ray Anderson

Mr. Charles Ray Anderson Age 73 of 1567 Claudville Hwy, Claudville, VA passed away unexpectedly Monday January 21, 2008. Mr. Anderson was born December 18, 1934 in Patrick County, VA. to Emma Iowa Boles Anderson and the late James Leake Anderson, He was retired from Wood Brothers Racing, was a past master of Renfro Masonic Lodge 691 AF & AM and was of the Methodist Faith. Surviving are his wife Shirley Smith Anderson of the home, two daughters and son-in-law Karen Anderson Morris and husband Henry Clay Morris of Stuart, VA. and Cheryl Ann Anderson Tatum of Winston Salem, four grandchildren Charles Bradley Morris of Oakland, CA., Elizabeth Ann Morris of Raleigh, Jessica Britt Tatum of Winston Salem and Ashley Brooke Tatum of Savannah, GA; His mother Emma Iowa Boles Anderson of Mt. Airy and a special niece and nephew Vickie Lynn Jessup and Kenneth Louis Anderson, Jr. both of Claudville. Mr. anderson will be greatly missed by numerous friends. In addition to his father Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by two brothers Kenneth Louis Anderson, Sr. and Lowell Anderson. Funeral services will be held Thursday January 24, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at the Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with services conducted by Rev. Harry Sherrill with burial to follow in the Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday night 7 to 9 P.M. at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy, NC.
