Mr. Charles “Chuck” Anthony Jones, age 58 of Dobson, passed away unexpectedly on December 5. 2023, at his home. Mr. Jones was born on June 12, 1965, in Robeson County, North Carolina to Dolores Branch Jones and the late Charles Wesley Jones, Jr. Chuck was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who devoted his life to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints. He helped to mold many young men and women through various programs at church, such youth ministries, scouting programs; and sometimes just a person to listen. Chuck’s devotion to these young people was unmatched and they will carry his memories in their hearts forever. He gave himself to the service of others, whether family, friend, or a stranger. Mr. Jones was the epitome of love, caring, and selflessness who always put others first. Surviving is his daughter and her fiancé, Chasity Jones and Michael Grisafi; four grandchildren, Lukcus Hawks, Cheyenne Hawks, Dakota Hawks, Ty Hawks; his mother, Dolores Branch Donahue; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Angela Jones McHone and husband Michael, Jewel Jones Lasater and husband Robby; two nieces, Ciera Antwine, Jordin Lasater; and four nephews, Travis Antwine, Trevor Antwine, Forest Antwine, Gage Lasater. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at 11:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints in Dobson with Bishop Marcus Draughn officiating. Interment will follow in the James Monroe Hiatt Cemetery in Mount Airy. The family will receive friends on Friday evening, December 8, 2023, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for funeral expenses. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with arrangements.
