Charles Robert "Bob" Connolly

Mr. Charles Robert "Bob" Connolly, 80, of 154 Casper Stewart Road, Lowgap, passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2008, at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital in Elkin. He was born August 12, 1928, in Ridgeley, MD. He was retired from Proctor-Silex Inc., was a member of the Mount Airy Elk's Lodge, and had served as former president of the board of directors of the Mount Airy Country Club. Mr. Connolly was also a member of Round Peak Masonic Lodge #616 AF and AM and Central United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Naomi Palmer Connolly of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Alan and Alice Connolly of Mount Airy and Paul and Denise Connolly of Lowgap; four grandchildren and a spouse, Julie Connolly Wall and Travis of Greensboro, Rob Connolly of Los Angeles, CA, Sarah Connolly and Jacob Connolly, both of Lowgap; and a brother and sister-in-law, James and Kathie Connolly of Lynchburg, VA. The funeral service will be held Saturday, November 29, 2008, at 2:00 PM at Central United Methodist Church, with the Rev. John Ferree officiating. Burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens, with full Masonic rites conducted by the Round Peak Masonic Lodge #616 AF and AM. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 PM until the time for the service in the Ladies' Parlor at Central United Methodist Church.
