Charles Dean Eldridge

Mr. Charles Dean Eldridge, age 87, of Elkin, NC passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022, at the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home, in Dobson, NC.  He was born in Surry County on June 11, 1935, to the late Currie Lee Eldridge and the late Fairy Lee Adams Eldridge.  He was an owner/operator of the family general store on Kapps Mill Road.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Pam Settle; sister Ann Branon; brother, Joe Eldridge.  Surviving is his wife, Vena Christine Freeman; daughter, Cheryl Dawn Eldridge; grandson Adam Eldridge; sisters, Betsy Lyon, Patsy Thompson (Doughton); nephew and nieces.  A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 23, 2022, in the cemetery of Poplar Springs Baptist Church in Elkin, NC. Rev. Leon Holyfield will conduct the service.  Moody-Davis Funeral Home is serving the Eldridge family.   There will be no services held at the funeral home.
