Charles Ellis Hooker

Mr. Charles Ellis Hooker of Westfield, age 76 passed away on 20 Oct 2023, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  Mr. Hooker was born July 23, 1947, to the late William Ellis Hooker and Lois Tex Hooker.  Mr. Hooker was a man who loved his family, loved to fish and collect toy cars, as well as watching a good western on his T.V.  Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.  Surviving is his daughter and son-in-law Katherine and Gene Bert; stepdaughter and husband, Sandra and Brian Creasey, stepdaughter, Connie Brown and Daryl Huntington; step granddaughter, Shannon Willard; two great grandchildren, Abrianna and Ryker Simmons; his brothers, James Alvis Hooker, Jackie O’ Neal Hooker, and William David Hooker.  Mr. Hooker was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Jean Jefferson; his father William Ellis Hooker; his mother Lois Tex Hooker; and one step grandson, Scotty Pyrtle.  A graveside service will be held Thursday, October 26, 2023, at 2:00 PM at State Line Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Buford Jessup officiating.  The family will receive friends Thursday from 12:30 until 1:30 PM at Moody Funeral Home.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
