Charles Frank Fleming

Mr. Charles Frank Fleming, 80, of Mt. Airy peacefully passed away Friday, February 15, 2019 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in Surry County on March 6, 1938 to the late John William Fleming, Sr. and Essie Martin Fleming.  Mr. Fleming was retired owner-operator of Charles Fleming Painting Contractor.  Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who will be dearly missed by all his family and many friends.  He is survived by his wife, Lula “Faye” Fleming; a daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Nicky York; sons and daughters-in-law, Frank and Gina Fleming, Chris and Amy Fleming; grandchildren, Leslie York Mills, Megan Fleming, Luke and Amber Fleming, Jordan Fleming; great grandchildren, Corbin Mills, Caroline Mills, Luke Fleming, II; many nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Fleming was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Hannah Marie Fleming; his sisters, Marion Fleming Gwyn, Margaret Fleming Sasser, Joan Fleming Bingman; brothers, John William Fleming, Jr., Bobby Martin Fleming.  A funeral service will be held Monday, February 18, 2019 at 3:30 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Chris Fleming, Rev. Richard Loman, and Rev. Eric Smith officiating.  Burial will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Sunday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.  Flowers will be accepted or memorial contribution may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Rd., Dobson, NC 27017.  The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. James L.
