Charles Brian Greenwood

Mr. Charles Brian Greenwood, 40, of Mount Airy, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2016. Mr. Greenwood was born August 23, 1975, in Surry County, to Charles Allen and Sharon Lynn Adams Greenwood. Brian was a graduate of North Surry High School, High Point University, and Gardner-Webb University. He had a long career in grocery retail. Left to cherish his memories are his parents, Charles Allen and Sharon Lynn Adams Greenwood; his paternal grandmother, Mary Greenwood; an aunt and two uncles, Joyce and Robert Perry and Danny Greenwood; and a cousin, Timothy Greenwood. Brian was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Roy Greenwood; his maternal grandparents, Ray and Lorraine Adams; his great-grandparents, Sam and Bessie Gravley; and an aunt, Ann Greenwood. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at 2:00 PM at Fancy Gap Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dwight Sechrist officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be made to Surry Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 981, Mount Airy, NC 27030. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
