Charles Jeffrey McGee

Mr. Charles Jeffrey “Gunny” McGee, 57, of Mt. Airy passed away Saturday, March 11, 2023, at his home.  He was born in Forsyth County on April 17, 1965, to the Patsy McGee Bowman.  Mr. McGee was employed at Sammy Phillips Electric.  He was an avid UNC basketball fan and loved Harley Davidson Motorcycles.  In addition to his mother, Mr. McGee is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Kayla and Dylan Gunter, Samantha McGee; grandchildren, Jace Slate, Adalene Slate, Colby Gunter, and Luke Gunter; a sister and brother-in-law, Denise and Tony Daniels; his girlfriend, Anna Burford and her children, Maria Boyd and Nathanial McMillian, and her grandchildren, Kaitlyn Boyd and Mackenzie Boyd; nephews, Josh, Tyler, and Jonathan.  Mr. McGee was preceded in death by his stepfather, Sam Bowman; a sister, Leighann Bowman.  The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 15, 2023, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Services in Mt.
