Mr. Charles Vogler Paul, 46, of Salisbury, died Friday, March 16, 2007, after an extended illness. Mr. Paul was born January 30, 1961, in Surry County, to Patsy Vogler Paul and Charles Howard Paul. He was a graduate of Mount Airy High School and received his B.S. in Engineering from North Carolina State University. Mr. Paul was a professional engineer and founder of Enerco Engineering Services in Salisbury. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Salisbury, where he was an elder and a member of Everyman's Bible Class, where he had been a class teacher. Mr. Paul is survived by his wife, Kay Murphy Paul, whom he married on October 29, 1983; a daughter, Katherine Vogler Paul of the home; a son, Charles William Paul of the home; his mother, Patsy Vogler Paul of Winston-Salem; his father and stepmother, Charles Howard and Sandra Bullington Paul of Mount Airy; and two brothers, Robert Howard Paul of Burlington and Christopher Bryan Paul of Greensboro. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at 1:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church in Salisbury. The service will be conducted by Dr. Jim C. Dunkin and Dr. Randall Kirby. Burial will follow at 4:00 PM at Oakdale Cemetery in Mount Airy. The family will receive friends at the residence, 300 West Horah Street, Salisbury, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM on Tuesday, March 20, 2007, and will also greet friends in Mount Airy following the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Air Force ROTC Program at Salisbury High School, 500 Lincolnton Road, Salisbury, NC 28144, or to Boy Scouts of America, State Council Office, P.O. Box 250, Albemarle, NC 28002. The Paul family is being served by Summersett Funeral Home in Salisbury and Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.
