Charles Cleve Stanley

Mr. Charles Cleve Stanley, age 88, of Dobson, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at The Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. Mr. Stanley was born October 3, 1936, in Surry County to the late Marvin Stanley and the late Mertie Dobbins Stanley. Left to cherish his memories are his loving and devoted wife, Shirley Stanley; his daughter and son-in-law, Michele and Lincoln Miller; son and daughter-in-law, Mitch and Amy Stanley; daughters-in-law, Abby Stanley and Michele Stanley; grandchildren, Riley Hutchens (Casey), Chase Stanley, Blake Stanley, Luke Miller, Carson Stanley, and Katie Fields (Brayton); great grandchild, Cooper Stanley; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Stanley was preceded in death by his sons, Todd Stanley and Tony Stanley; grandson, Ryan Stanley; six brothers and three sisters. Charles was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother, a member of Salem Baptist Church, a savvy businessman, and owner of Stanley Realty, and a friend to all that knew him. The funeral will be 11:00 AM Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Salem Baptist Church, with Dr. David Trump, Rev. Tim Burton, and Lincoln Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, PO Box 325, Dobson NC 27017 or any organization of the donor’s choice, Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the Stanley family.
