Charles Michael "Mike" Tucker

Mr. Charles Michael “Mike” Tucker, 50, of Mt. Airy passed away Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem.  He was born in Surry County on July 16, 1968 to Rev. Billy Tucker and the late Sharon “Pat” Mooneyhan Tucker.  Mr. Tucker was Vice President of Tucker Incorporated, and a faithful member of White Plains Baptist Church where he served as deacon, bus driver, Sunday school teacher, and usher.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and son who will be dearly missed by all his family and many friends.  He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Mills Tucker of the home; daughter, Jessica Tucker of the home, sons, Samuel Tucker, and Joe Tucker of the home, daughter and son-in-law, Crystal and Justen Hawks, and son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Britney Tucker; grandchildren, Aria Tucker, and Titus Hawks; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Evelyn “Cindy” and Steve Hutson, Elsie Louise and Wayne Coleman, Dorothy Lynn Gunter; brothers and sisters-in-law, William Herman and Patricia Tucker, Rev. David and Thresa Tucker, Timmy and Mandy Tucker; many nieces and nephews.  A funeral service will be held Friday, October 5, 2018 at 2:00 PM at White Plains Baptist Church with the Rev. David Tucker, and the Rev. Bill Tucker officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends Thursday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at White Plains Baptist Church.  Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
