Charles Clarence Wade

Mr. Charles Clarence Wade, 91, of Mt. Airy passed away Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Central Continuing Care in Mt. Airy.  He was born in Henry County, VA on April 14, 1929 the youngest of 13 children born to the late Charles Decatur and Emma Lee Richardson Wade.  Mr. Wade was a welder and a member of Skyview Missionary Baptist Church in Fancy Gap, VA.  He also attended Mount Airy Wesleyan Church after they moved to Surry County.  Mr. Wade proudly served our country in the United States Army Air Force (USAAF) and the United State Air Force (USAF).  He is survived by his wife, Peggy Monica Rollings Wade; a daughter and son-in-law, Karen Wade Nussman and Wayne; a son and daughter-in-law, Karl Robert Wade and Vanessa; grandchildren, Andrew Wade and Toni, and Matthew Wade and Jessica; great grandchildren, Emma Wade, and Eben Wade; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Wade was preceded in death by his 12 siblings.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
