Charlie Everett Akers

Mr. Charlie Everett Akers Age 73 of 97 Easy Acres Lane Cana, VA. husband of Mrs. Jacqueline Akers passed away at the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem. Mr. Akers was born November 13, 1934 in Carroll County, VA. to the late Theodore Roosevelt Akers and Minnie Quesinberry Akers, he was a farmer and of the Baptist faith. Surviving are his wife Mrs. Jacqueline Tate Akers of the home, two daughters Deborah Akers and Lisa Ann Akers both of the home, four sisters Lucille Hall of Stuart, Mildred Sweeney of Axton, VA., Elvie Cole of Martinsville and Willowdean Pack of Bassett, VA. And four brothers James Akers of Rhode Island, Roy Akers of California, Larry Akers of Martinsville and Alan Bryant. In addition to his parents Mr. Akers was preceded in death by three sons James Akers, Ronnie Akers and Terry Akers and by a sister Donna Nelson. Graveside services will be held Sunday October 5, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at the Akers Family Cemetery with services conducted by Rev. Albert Everidge. Family will receive friends after the service.
