Charlie McCoy Fain

Mr. Charlie McCoy Fain, age 77 of Stuart, passed away Friday, January 7, 2022, at his home. He was born in Patrick County on July 15, 1944, to the late James Irvin Fain and Nancy Emma Handy Fain. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Jackie Orene Fain; and two brothers, Ralph, and Raymond Fain. Charlie was a member of New Hope Church of the Brethren.

Surviving is his wife of 56 years, Carol Boothe Fain of the home; one grandson, Bailey Fain; a godson, Jamie Foley of Collinsville; one sister, Dovie Spencer of Patrick Springs; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Glen and Judy Boothe of Stuart; one niece, Sharon Gravely and husband, Raul; one nephew, Stevie Boothe; and a great nephew, Caleb Gravely.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 9, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at New Hope Church of the Brethren with Pastor Rick Randall officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
