Charlie Roe Thomas

Mr. Charlie Roe Thomas, age 87 of Cana passed away April 2, 2007 at Twin County regional Hospital in Galax, VA. Mt. Thomas was born in Carroll County VA, September 9, 1919 to the late Woltz and Hetti Belle McMillian Thomas. He is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Oma and Glen Gray, Gert and Bob Collins all of Ararat, VA, Alice and Bub Ayers of Cana, Pat and Robert Smith of Mt. Airy; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Charlie Monroe Thomas of Laurel Fork, Clifton and Louise Thomas of Ararat, VA; six grandchildren, Jerry Collins, Michael Collins, Dena Collins, Sandra Knotts, Lorrie Taylor, Jason Smith; twelve great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Oak Grove Baptist Church by Rev. Emmett Crotts with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
