Charlie Franklin Williams

Mr. Charlie Franklin Williams, 77, of Mt. Airy, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2019 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home.  He was born in Yadkin County January 18, 1942 to the late Wilburn Dulin and Annie Pearl Adams Williams.  Mr. Williams bravely served in the U.S. Navy and retired from PWA Trucking.  He is survived by his wife Thelma Lambert Williams; daughters and a son-in-law, Sherry and Randall Owen, and Kristie Ann Williams; sons and daughters-in-law, Travis and Cindy Williams, David and Kelly Williams, and Jeffrey Williams; step daughter, Susan Parson and husband Mike; step sons, Russell Felts and wife Jenny and Toby Felts and wife Denise; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren and one on the way; six step-grandchildren; two step-greatgrandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law Peggy and Eugene Booe.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Williams was preceded in death by a step-daughter Tammy Hooker; and brothers, Bill and Robert Williams.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at Holly Springs Baptist Church Saturday, July 13, 2019 with Rev. Jeff Wall officiating.  Burial will follow at the William Hiatt Family Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.  Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Rd., Dobson, NC 27017.  Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
