Charlotte Elaine Beck

Ms. Charlotte Elaine Beck, 47, of State Road, passed away Wednesday evening, October 6, 2010, at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital in Elkin. She was born October 29, 1962, in Forsyth County, to Mary Ruth Beck and the late Carl Andrew Beck. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a son, Brandon Holbrook. She was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. Surviving are her daughter, Holly Holbrook of the home; her mother, Mary Ruth Beck of Dobson; four brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Pam Beck, Terry and Ellen Beck, Ricky and Corina Beck, and Tony and Linda Beck, all of Dobson; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held Saturday, October 9, 2010, at 2:00 PM at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Dobson. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Mark Newman, the Rev. Curtis Ponder, and Elder Windell White. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Her body will lie-in-state 30 minutes prior to the service at the church. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Dobson, and other times at the home of her daughter in State Road. Moody-Davis Funeral Home is serving the Beck family.
