Cheryle Douglas McCraw

Mr. Cheryle Douglas McCraw, 67, of Cana, VA, passed away at his home on Wednesday September 7, 2022.  He was born in Galax on December 20, 1954, to the late Reuben Francis McCraw and Opal Lee Marion McCraw.  Cheryle farmed for most of his life and was a well-liked person in his community.  Left to cherish his memory are his daughters and sons-in-law, Heather and Vincent Parker, Tiffany and Casy Bowman, and Nanci Surratt; grandchildren, Nathaniel Jones, Faith Jones, Ezekiel Webb, Rachel Parker, and Josie Parker; many foster children; and a brother and sister-in-law, Keith and Sandra McCraw.  In addition to his parents, Mr. McCraw was preceded in death by his wife, Stephanie “Peppi” Belton McCraw.  Funeral services for Mr. McCraw will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2022, at 3:00PM at New Beginnings Community Church with the Rev. Wes Mosteller officiating.  Burial will follow in New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at New Beginnings Community Church on Sunday from 2:00PM – 3:00PM.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the McCraw family.
