Chester Loman Crotts

Mr. Chester Loman Crotts, 81, of 117 Stillview Drive, Cana, VA, passed away Monday morning, November 22, 2010, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born February 21, 1929, in Surry County, to the late Jessie Everette and Eliza Margaret Hawks Crotts. He was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are a son, Ricky Crotts of the home; and three sisters, Emma Crotts and Nancy Tate, both of Cana, VA, and Bessie Burton of Mount Airy. In addition to his parents, Mr. Crotts was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Jane Tate Crotts; and a son, Loman Crotts. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, November 24, 2010, at 11:00 AM at the Crotts Family Cemetery, with Elder Arwood Edwards officiating. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home. Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy is serving the family.
