Christine Bowman

Mrs. Christine Bowman, age 80 of Ararat, Virginia passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023, at Blue Ridge Therapy Connection, in Stuart Virginia.  Mrs. Bowman was born on January 30, 1943, in Patrick County, Virginia to the late William Harden and Laura Myrtle Lewis Bowman.  Christine was a loving wife, sister, aunt, and friend.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.  Surviving are her sisters and brother-in-law; Wyona and Edd Scott, Wanda and Roger Holt, Joan and Ricky Holt, special sister-in-law, Mary Bowman; one brother and sister-in-law, Garland and Joyce Bowman; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Velma Loudermilk; special in-home caretakers, Kathleen Barnes and Donna Krause; the staff at Blue Ridge Theory Connection, Bertie, Gabby, and Carly; and her special dog, Pepper.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bowman was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Edgar Bowman; and two brothers, Bernard Dillard Bowman, Donald Gray Bowman.  A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at 12:00 PM at Bottom Road Tabernacle in Mount Airy with Reverend Kelly Haynes officiating.  Interment will follow at Unity Church Cemetery in Ararat, Virginia.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Bottom Road Tabernacle from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
