Christine Felts Sawyers

Mrs. Christine Felts Sawyers, age 85, of Dobson, NC passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Dunmore Plantation. She was born in Surry County, NC on March 25, 1936, to the late Franklin Benjamin Felts and the late Josie Ellen Culler Felts. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Gray Sawyers; sisters, Octavia White, Barbara Freeman; brother Rev. Jimmy Felts. She was a retired Knitter, and a CNA, a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church. Surviving is her three sons and daughter-in-law, Roger Grey and Lynn Sawyers, Gary Ray Sawyers, Terry Lee Sawyers; six grandchildren, Bradley Ray and Tracie Sawyers, Jennifer and Timothy Isaacs, Shonda and Lennie Holsclaw, Coty and Beverly Sawyers, Hannah and Josh Watson, Hannah Ramey; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters Verdine Puckett, JoAnn and Mack Cassell; brother, Douglas Felts. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at 1:00 PM in the cemetery of New Beginnings Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Gary Sawyers and Lee Freeman officiating.

There will be no formal services held at Moody-Davis Funeral Home.
