Christopher "Chris" Joel Gammons

Mr. Christopher Joel Gammons, age 35, of Mount Airy, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2019, at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, SC.  He was born February 16, 1984, in Surry County to Gilmer Ray and Kathy Lynn Hutson Gammons.  In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Jamie Ray Gammons; sister, Jodie Lynn Gammons; niece, Shelby Ray Gammons; grandparents, Donald and Inez Hutson; many uncles, aunts, and cousins; and a special friend, Courtney Chilton.  Mr. Gammons was preceded in death by his grandparents, Adam Roy and Bertha Lee Gammons; uncle, Ronald Hall; aunt, Imogene Axsom and a special friend, Louis Valenzuela. He was of the Baptist faith and employed by NAPA Auto Parts.  Visitation will be Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at Community Church, 280 O’Neal Road, Mount Airy NC 27030, from 6-8 PM.  The service will follow on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at The Community Church with Rev. Ray Hutson, Rev. Mark Wright and Rev. Dewayne Sands officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
