Chrystal Bea Turman Simmons

Mrs. Chrystal Bea Turman Simmons, 80, of Pilot Mountain passed away Monday, May 16, 2016 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. She was born in Carroll County, VA on May 21, 1935 to the late Garfield and Evelyn Puckett Turman. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Donna Phillips and Marcus, Lisa Kearns and Gerald; two grandchildren and spouses, Neal Willard and Heather, Jonathan Willard and Allie; two great grandchildren, Nixon Willard and Nash Willard; sisters and brothers-in-law, Loretta Meyer and Sam, Marlene Largen, Lynetta Stowe and Larry, Ray Creed; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dexter Turman and Judy, Lowell Turman and Sue, Danny Turman and Sharon, Dwight Turman, Debbie Turman; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Simmons was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Simmons; a sister, Dolores Creed; a brother, Jerel Turman. The family will have a private graveside service. The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 18, 2016 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at Mrs. Simmons home. Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy is serving the Simmons family.
