Mrs. Clara P. Boberschmidt, 92, passed away peacefully on the 21st day of September, 2008 at Twelve Oaks Assisted Living Center in Mount Airy, NC. Mrs. Boberschmidt was born on the 22nd day of December, 1915, in Mark, Illinois, to the late Vincent and Josephine Pini. Mrs. Boberschmidt was a member of Saint Louis King of France Catholic Church in Metarie, Louisiana, prior to her being displaced by Hurricane Katrina. She is survived by three daughters, Claire Ann Bratcher and husband, Don of Hillsboro, Missouri, Susan B. Royster and husband, Michael of Pilot Mountain, North Carolina, and Cathy B. Larre' and husband, Lenny of Mandeville, Louisiana; and one son, Lawrence A. Boberschmidt, Jr. and wife, Lainie of Cincinnati, Ohio; in addition to her children she was survived by twelve special grandchildren and thirteen special great-grandchildren, and was a loving aunt to eighteen special nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence A. Boberschmidt, Sr., a daughter, Marie B. Serena, and a daughter, Eleanor B. Ecuyer, a sister, Eleanor P. Machiorletti, and brothers, Armand Pini and Ceaser Pini. A memorial Mass will be held at the Duncan Center at Holy Angles Catholic Church in Mount Airy, NC, on the 24th day of September, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. by Father Eric Kowalski. The family will greet guests and friends at the Center immediately following the service. The family requests that in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to Holy Angels Catholic Church, 1208 North Main Street, Mount Airy, NC 27030 or Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mount Airy, NC 27030, or to the charity of the donor's choice. The family would like to extend special thanks to the wonderful staff at Twelve Oaks Assisted Living Center in Mount Airy, NC, Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care in Mount Airy, NC, and Dr. C. Wayne Lankford and his staff at Pilot Mountain Family Practice for the wonderful care that they provided to Clara.
