Clara Mitchell

         Mrs. Clara Doss Mitchell, age 92, of Stuart passed away Saturday, August 1, 2020 at the Blue Ridge Therapy Connection.  She was born on December 15, 1927 in Patrick County to the late Joseph R. Doss and Nannie Lou Corns Doss.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, John D. Mitchell, Jr; two sisters, Alice Sheppard, Ellie Griffin; and four brothers, Marion, Clayton, Delano, and Riley Doss.  Clara was a member of Critz Baptist Church.

         Surviving are a sister-in-law, Elaine Doss of Stuart; and six nieces and nephews, Janice Woods, Cheryl Gunter, Jerry Doss, Steve Doss, Mike Doss, and Ronnie Doss.

         Following Covid19 guidelines, a graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Patrick Memorial Gardens with Pastor Allan Vass officiating.  Memorials may be made to Critz Baptist Church, P.O Box 99, Critz, VA  24082.  Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
