Clarance Dillard Smart

            Mr. Clarance Dillard Smart, age 76, of Meadows of Dan passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at his home.  He was born in Patrick County on July 6, 1942 to the late Clarender and Mamie Williams Smart.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Audrey Vernon; and five brothers, Darst, Soanie, Nathaniel, Kernie, and Elzie Smart.

            Surviving are his husband, Arthipon “Art” Smart; three daughters, Gail Davison, Israel Smart, Audrey Smart; four grandchildren, Brittany Davison, Bradley Davison, Clara Thorman, Jordan Rorrer; four sisters, Gay Brown, Emma Joy Hicks, Gloria Martin, Carol Sutphin; two brothers, Kirby Smart, Robin Smart; and several nieces and nephews.
