Clarence DeMont Chamberlain

Clarence DeMont Chamberlain, 81, of Lowgap, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2009, at Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mr. Chamberlain was born in Sussex County, NJ, to Clarence E. and Gladys Marie Case Chamberlain. He was retried from law enforcement after serving in Massachusetts, California, and Maine and also retired from Wal-Mart. He was a member of VFW Post 2019 and Masonic Lodge Rising Sun #71 AF and AM in Orland, Maine. Surviving are his loving wife, Elizabeth Margaret Rotter Chamberlain of the home; three sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond and Donna Chamberlain of Austin, TX, Craig and Jill Chamberlain of Mount Airy, and Bruce and Lisa Chamberlain of Eddington, ME; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Chamberlain was preceded in death by a sister, Jane Keslo. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 2, 2009, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, conducted by Chaplain Thurmond Midkiff. Burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens, with military honors by the VFW Memorial Honor Guard and Masonic rites by Round Peak Masonic Lodge #616 AF and AM. The family will receive friends Friday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
