Clarence Odell Haynes

Mr. Clarence Odell Haynes, 74, of Ararat, VA passed away at his home Monday, March 2, 2020.  He was born in Carroll County, VA November 1, 1945 to the late Jerry and Treva Hall Haynes.  He worked at Napa Auto parts as long as his health permitted.  He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend.  He enjoyed antique cars, and loved participating in car shows and cruise ins.  Left to cherish his memories are his children, Monica Haynes of the home, Shane Haynes and Shannon Haynes both of Cana; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; step-children, Johnny Spurlock of Dublin, Travis Spurlock of Hillsville and Brandy Richardson and husband, Russell of Dublin; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Haynes and wife, Doris of Mt. Airy and Jerry Haynes, Jr. and wife, Darlene of Ararat.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Haynes was preceded in death by his wife, Violet Riggins Haynes; and grandson, Mikle Dixon, Jr.  Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Pilot View Baptist Church, 887 Pilot View Rd., Hillsville, VA with Brother Scotty Bullins and Rev. Kelly Haynes officiating.  Burial will follow at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Cana.  The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.  Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
