Claude Michael "Mike" Edwards

Mr. Claude Michael “Mike” Edwards, 74 of Pilot Mountain, met Jesus face-to-face on Friday morning, September 17, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center surrounded by his family. Mr. Edwards was born in Cleveland County, North Carolina on December 30, 1946 to the late Claude Mauldin and Evelyn Mae Allen Edwards. Mike was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him. Mike proudly served his country in the United States Army. He retired from R.J. Reynolds, Archer Division, with many years of service. Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 43 years, Linda Clark Edwards; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer Edwards McKinney and Jon; son and daughter-in-law, Joseph Richardson and Kristie; six grandchildren, Catherine Edwards, Kristen Richardson, Kerrie Richardson, Brandon McKinney, Chase McKinney, D.J. McKinney; one sister, Mary Ruth Goforth; one nephew, Craig Barrett and wife, Sharon. In addition to his parents, Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Ann Edwards; and a step-sister, Joyce Hill. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Terry Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the People’s Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
