Cleddie Lowe

Mrs. Cleddie Lowe, 91, of 166 Summitt Drive, Mount Airy, went home to be with her Lord on Monday morning, January 26, 2009, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Lowe was born November 23, 1917, in Carroll County, VA, to the late Gollie and Delphia Goodson Lowe. She was a homemaker and a member of Victory Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Jewel Goins of Mount Airy; a son and daughter-in-law, Anthony Cecil "Tony" and Elizabeth Lowe of White Plains; four grandchildren, Heather Alicia Lowe of White Plains, Cynthia Vipperman of Lowgap, and Matthew Goins and Sarah Tickles, both of Mount Airy; three great-grandchildren, Samantha Tickles, Rockey Tickles, III, and Katrina Tickles, all of Mount Airy; and two sisters, Lucille Amburn of Rural Hall and Opal Lamb of College Park, MD. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lowe was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Guy Lowe; two sisters, Lessie Galyean and Ailsa Moxley; and a brother, Noah Lowe. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 28, 2009, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Walter Walker and the Rev. Randy Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
