Cleo Surratt

Mr. Cleo Preston Surratt, 87 of Mount Airy passed away at Northern Regional Hospital on Thursday, February 25, 2021.  Mr. Surratt was born in Wilmington, Delaware to the late Dennie Howard and Josephine Farmer Surratt.  Mr. Surratt was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend.  He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.  Left to cherish his memorials are his wife of 65 years, Janice Quesenberry Surratt, one daughter and son-in-law, Melody McMillian and Richard; one son, Mark Surratt; grandchildren and spouses, Brandon McMillian and fiancé Kelsey King, and Lauren Sites and Gabe; great-grandson, Jaxon McMillian; and one brother-in-law, Bob Kell, along with several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Surratt was preceded in death by three sisters, Jean Wolfe, Carol Fardon, and Charlotte Zappala; and two brothers, Douglas Surratt and Fred Surratt.  A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at 12:00 PM in the Quesenberry Family Cemetery in Sylvatus, Virginia, with Rev.
