Clifton Miller

Mr. Vernie Clifton Miller, 73, of Mount Airy passed away at Forsyth Medical Center, December 16, 2020.  He was born in Davidson County, July 30, 1947, to the late Lacy and Ollieree Byerly Miller.  Mr. Miller was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.  He retired from C & G Miller Machine.  Mr. Miller is survived by his wife, Rhonda Mae Hawks Miller; son, Jeffrey Miller; grandson, Riley Jessup, and a sister, Rosemary Smith.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Miller was preceded in death by four brothers, Lacy, Raymond, Harold, and Darrell Miller; and a daughter-in-law, Jamie Miller.  The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, December 28, 2020 in the Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charlie Hawks officiating.  Burial will follow in the Hawks Family Cemetery in Lambsburg, VA.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
