Clindon Cook

Mr. Clindon Wavell “Wyatt” Cook, 79, of Mt. Airy passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at Central Continuing Care in Mt. Airy.  He was born in Surry County on July 14, 1941 to the late Foster and Eleanor Brinkley Cook.  Mr. Cook retired from Pike Electric after 24 years of employment, and attended Mount Airy Wesleyan Church before his health declined.  He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Sonya and Scott Haymore; sons and daughter-in-law, Wyatt Alan Cook, Chad Eric and Ashley Herb Cook; grandchildren, Kelsi Haymore, Abby Cook, and Andrew Cook; a step grandchild, Kole Drawdy; sisters, Ann Willard, and Brenda Chilton; many nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Cook was preceded in death by sisters, Faye Bottoms, and Nedra Shelton; a brother, Doug Cook.  A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, June 19, 2021 from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at Mount Airy Wesleyan Church.  Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
