Clinton Leon Cagle

Mr. Clinton Leon Cagle, 76, of Cana, VA, passed away Saturday morning, July 2, 2016, at Forsyth Medical Center, where he took his final journey to his heavenly home. Mr. Cagle was born May 18, 1940, in Carroll County, VA, to the late Fred and Grady Jones Cagle. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Connie Cagle of the home; a daughter, Cindy Ann Cagle of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Terry Lee and Becky Cagle of Mount Airy; a granddaughter, Marisa Cagle Hall and her husband, Daniel, of Hillsville, VA; a grandson, Caleb Blake Cagle of Mount Airy; a brother, Bobby Cagle of Cana, VA; and two sisters, Bertie Tucker of Pilot Mountain and Beulah Golds of Morganton. In addition to his parents, Mr. Cagle was preceded in death by two sisters, Josie Shelton and Forrest Easter; and two brothers, Money Cagle and Luther Cagle. The family will receive friends Monday, July 4, 2016, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Paul’s Creek Baptist Church. The funeral service will be held at the church on Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at 2:00 PM, with the Rev. Justin McCreary and the Rev. Verlon Combs officiating. The body will lie-in-state 30 minutes prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
