Clyde Eugene Bowman, Sr

Mr. Clyde Eugene Bowman, Sr., age 82 of Fredericksburg, VA, widower of Sallie Hardy Bowman, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg. Mr. Bowman was born in Patrick County, August 12, 1924 to Elmer and Nellie Wilson Bowman. He served our country in the United States Air Force during WWII and was a member of Masonic Lodge 81 of Arlington. Surviving are a son, Clyde Bowman, Jr.; granddaughters, Jennifer B. Reeke and Kimberly B. Whitaker; great granddaughters, Sally and Cassidy Reeke; sisters and brother-in-law, Barbara and Romey Clement and Hazel Collins. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 2, 2006 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Rev. Barry Clement. Burial will follow in Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery with military honors by Patrick County VFW Memorial Honor Guard and Masonic Rites by Mountain Home Lodge 263. The family will receive friends Friday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy and at other times at the home of Barbara Clement at 36 Squirrel Spur Rd., Ararat, VA.
