Cody Cassius Leftwich

Mr. Cody Cassius Leftwich, age 40, passed away unexpectedly Friday, September 13, 2024, at his residence. Mr. Leftwich was born September 10, 1984, in Surry County to Becky Haynes and Walter Leftwich III. He was a loving son, younger brother, uncle and friend to many, he will be deeply missed. He was well-known as a truck driver for over 10 years, most recently with Mountain River Trucking. Mr. Leftwich is survived by his parents, Becky Haynes and Walter Leftwich III; sister, Cassie Leftwich; nephew, Jagger Leftwich; step-grandmother, Linda Leftwich; several close aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl and Mertha Haynes, Walter Leftwich Jr. and Joann Leftwich. Funeral Services for Mr. Leftwich will be held Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Rusty Reed officiating. A burial will follow at Laurel Springs Primitive Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy on Thursday, September 19, 2024, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
