Cody Travis Turner

Mr. Cody Travis Turner, age 25 of Patrick Springs, left this earthly life on Thursday, March 17, 2022. Cody was born in Eden, North Carolina on January 8, 1997, to Ricky Turner and Janie Mullins Hutchens. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Buddy Mullins and Connie Mullins. Cody was a loving son and brother and was loved by everyone that knew him. He was a very talented singer and guitar player, loved to hunt, fish, and play golf. Cody was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and loved all animals. He will be sorely missed by his family and many friends.

Surviving are his loving parents, Ricky Turner, of Patrick Springs; and Janie Mullins Hutchens, and husband, Jeremy Hutchens of Bassett; two half-brothers, Ryder Hutchens and Rylee Hutchens, of Bassett; one half-sister, Alexis Hutchens, of Bassett; stepsister, Ciera Yates, of Roanoke; paternal grandparents, Maynard Turner and Louise Turner, of Patrick Springs; special grandparents, Bobbie Humphrey and Jim Humphrey, of Wilmington, North Carolina; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many dear friends.  

A funeral service for Cody will be held Monday, March 21, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Pleasant View Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Anderson officiating. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial donations may be made to Pleasant View Baptist Church, 4432 Pleasant View Drive, Patrick Springs, VA  24133. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.
