Connard "Junior" Butcher

Mr. Connard Ervin Butcher Jr., age 71, of Dobson, passed away Thursday, March 18, 2021, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born September 21, 1949 in Surry County to the late Connard Ervin Butcher Sr. and the late Flora Esther Hazelwood Butcher. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Lewis Butcher, his sisters, Shirley Bowman and Dorothy Lewellen and his brother Larry Butcher. He is survived by sons and daughter-in-law, Michael Anthony and Alice Butcher and Burley Butcher; daughter, Sissy Butcher; sisters, Verlie “Billie” Grose” and Eunice Gilley; several grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Sunday, March 21, 2021 from 1:30-2:30 P.M. at Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 P.M. in the Little Vine Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Oscar Hill and Michael Butcher officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Little Vine Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery Fund. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the Butcher family.
