Mrs. Connie Sue Hooker Lawson, 59, of Westfield, passed away Monday, February 27, 2012, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born April 8, 1952, in Patrick County, VA, to the late Arthur Reed and Marie Frances Collins Hooker. Mrs. Lawson was employed by Pioneer Medical Center in King and was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Lawson of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer and Scott Wyatt of Jonesville and Crystal and David Alder of Westfield; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Randall Shane and Amy Myers of Westfield and Ronnie Lee Lawson, Jr. of Westfield; four grandchildren, Devon Martin, Tyler Martin, Abigail Wyatt, and Daleigh Alder; and two sisters, Louise Bridges of Sophia and Lena Collins of Westfield. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lawson was preceded in death by a sister, Opal Lankford; and two brothers, Millard Hooker and J.C. Hooker. The funeral service will be held Thursday, March 1, 2012, at 2:00 PM at Grace Baptist Church, located on Brown Mountain Road, with the Rev. Joe Beck and the Rev. Darrell Tate officiating. Burial will follow in the State Line Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 29, 2012, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017.
