Mr. Conrad Lee Hodges, 72, of 3241 Haystack Road, Mount Airy, passed away Friday, May 28, 2010, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mr. Hodges was born September 23, 1937, in Surry County, son of the late James Edmond and Lizzie Cave Hodges. Conrad served our country in the United States Army and National Guard. He was a lifelong farmer and retired Lowe's Home Improvement. He is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Craig Hodges of Siloam and Matthew and Tammy Hodges of Greensboro; a granddaughter, Erin Hodges of Greensboro; a grandson, Zach Hodges of Greensboro; a brother, Curtis Hodges of Cana, VA; a niece, Wanda Hodges of Mount Airy; two nephews, Steven Hodges and his wife, Carol, of Mount Airy and William Hodges of Florida; the mother of his children, Annette Hodges Warner of Matthews; and a special friend, Sandra York Mundy of Mount Airy. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hodges was preceded in death by a brother, William Columbus Hodges. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at 11:00 AM at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Trent Lyons officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy, and other times at the home of Craig Hodges, 6252 Siloam Road, Siloam.
