Constance Ann Hawks

Miss Constance Ann "Connie" Hawks, 66, of Mocksville, passed away Monday morning, July 12, 2010, at Somerset Court in Mocksville. Miss Hawks was born January 11, 1944, in Surry County, daughter of the late Samuel Ambrose and Mattie Lee Short Hawks. Connie truly enjoyed life to its fullest. Her radiant personality brought many smiles to her family and many friends. Miss Hawks was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Mount Airy. She is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and James W. Reid of Pfafftown; a niece, Lynn Dunn of Salisbury; and two nephews, Jay Pendleton of Mount Airy and Mark Pendleton of Alexandria, VA. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at 2:00 PM at Oakdale Cemetery, with the Rev. David Gilbreath officiating. There will not be a formal visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Milling Manor, 253 Milling Road, Mocksville, NC 27028-2704. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
