Corey Lee Atkins

Mr. Corey Lee Atkins, 23, of Mt. Airy passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at his home.  He was born in Surry County on March 27, 1997 to Dale Atkins and the late Mary Cox Atkins.  Mr. Atkins was employed at Hodges Stone Works.  In addition to his father, Mr. Atkins is survived by sisters, Brittany Hill and fiancé Gary Williams, and Heather Moser; brothers and sister-in-law, Chris and Wallis Atkins, and Corbin Atkins; nieces and nephews, Blade Hill, Jared Horton, Kenley Horton, and Miracle Williams; an aunt, Hope Davis; a special friend, Jeff Hodges.  A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 6, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Community Church with the Rev. Ray Hutson officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Being mindful of social distancing rules put in place by our governor, the family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at Community Church.  Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
