Courtney Renee Langley

Ms. Courtney Renee Langley, 32, of Mount Airy passed away Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home, surrounded by her loving family & holding her sweet boys hand.  She was born in Surry County on January 21, 1990, to Sherry Lynn Anders and Robert Paul Langley.  Courtney shed light wherever she went, and her eyes were always sparkling beautifully blue.  She loved all things Harry Potter, and a good book.  She was a loving partner, mother, sister, daughter, grand-daughter, and aunt who will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.  In addition to her parents, Sherry and Richie Gordon, her father, Paul Langley. Courtney is survived by her loving partner, Yovanni Soriano; her son, Brody Cassell, her step-son, Carson Soriano; sisters and brothers-in-law, Brittany and Lance Richardson, Brittany and Ben Misay, Whitney and Austin Smith; brother and sister-in-law, Zachary and Brianna Gordon; her grandparents, Joann and Horace Duncan, her Nanny, Teressa Gordon, her Gran & Papa, Rebecca & Dan Langley, her great maw-maw, Mary Lou Anders; special aunts and uncles, Lee & Tony Anders, Belinda & Robbie James, Melissa & Marty Dunbar; and Karen & Henry Portis; lots of special cousins, and many nieces and nephews that she loved so much. Ms. Langley was preceded in death by her great pawpaw, Newton Anders, and her Papa, Cotton Gordon.  A celebration of life service will be held Sunday, January 22, 2023, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Cross Creek Country Club.  A special uncle, Robbie James, will start prayer and speakers at 4:30 pm.  Courtney loved her family, friends and life, dearly.  Cheers to Courtney and the beautiful life she lived- In Harry Potter terms, “wands up”.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made by Venmo to @brittany-misay, or can be taken by Cross Creek Country Club and addressed to Sherry Gordon.  All donations will be used towards funeral expenses, and any exceeding will be placed into an educational savings account for Courtney’s son, Brody.  We’re so thankful for everyone’s blessings and prayers.
