Coy Greenville Belcher

          Mr. Coy Greenville Belcher, age 83 of Woolwine, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at his home.  He was born in Patrick County on September 8, 1934 to the late Lester and Adlena Harris Belcher.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Belcher was preceded in death by three brothers, Clay, Calvin and Robert Belcher; two sisters, Zella Conner and Sylvia Helms; and two brothers-in-law, Allen Adams and Lois Conner.  He had retired from Bassett Furniture Industries.

          Mr. Belcher is survived by his wife of 59 years, Shelby Jane Beasley Belcher of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Carol Jane and Jimmy Hall of Stuart; a son and daughter-in-law, Coy Edward and Sandra Belcher of Woolwine; three grandchildren, Eric Belcher and Jasmine, Cameron Belcher and Rhena Hicks, Chris and LeeAnn Harris; four great-grandchildren, Sierra Belcher, Coy Aiden Belcher, Camden Belcher and Janiyah Belcher; a brother and sister-in-law, Bernice and Brenda Belcher of Woolwine; a sister, Erma Adams of Martinsville; two sisters-in-law, Frances Belcher and Dorothy Belcher, both of Stuart; and several nieces and nephews.

          A graveside service will be held Friday, August 3, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in Jack’s Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev.
