Creed Allen Jones

Mr. Creed Allen Jones, Age 74 of Mt. Airy passed away at his home Tuesday, November 4, 2008. Mr. Jones was born in Surry County on April 3, 1934 to the late Maggie Jones and Virgil Nunn. He retired from Mount Airy Granite Corporation. He is survived by his wife, Ida Bell Pack Jones; three sons, Fred Junior Jones of Westfield, Ronnie Jones and Janie of Pilot Mountain, Donnie Lee Jones and girlfriend, Jenny Strickland of Westfield; two daughters, Pat Thomas and husband, Mike, Rachel Thomas and husband Mickey, all of Mt. Airy, one sister, Virginia Alma Jones of Mt. Airy; thirteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jones was preceded in death by; a daughter, Dorothy Sue Jones and a brother, Tom Jones. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, November 7, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Indian Grove Baptist Church by Rev. Tommy Floyd and Bro. Don Collins. Burial will follow in the Indian Grove Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church, Friday, November 7, from 10:00 AM until the time of the service and at other times at the home, 403 Norman Rd, Mt. Airy.
