Cressie Fern Thomas Marion

Mrs. Cressie Fern Thomas Marion, 79, of Dobson, passed away Wednesday, August 03, 2016 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born in Surry County on February 14, 1937 to the late Tyler and Thelma Upchurch Thomas. Mrs. Marion was a retired Nurse’s Assistant at Northern Hospital of Surry County and was a member of Christ Community Church. She is survived by a granddaughter, Ashley Jones of Missouri; a great grandson, Holden Thomas Askew; sisters and brother-in-law, Teresa and Donald Mosley of Mt. Airy, Ann Waddell of Rurial Hall. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Marion; a son, Billy Dean Jones, Jr. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Brady officiating. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 PM until time for the service at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
