Curtis Lee Hall

Mr. Curtis Lee Hall, age 83, of Mount Airy, passed away early Friday morning, January 24, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Hall was born in Surry County to the late William Claude and Bessie Viola Ramey Hall. Curtis was a loving husband, brother, and friend. He was a very active member of Cedar Lane Baptist Church where he served while his health allowed and will be deeply missed. Surviving is his wife of 60 years, Tony Surratt Hall; a sister Ester Hall Creed, Claudine Hall Goins; brother Carl Dean Hall; a sister-in-law, Gypsy Surratt Haynes; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kelly Surratt and Jo; along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hall was preceded in death by sisters, Edith Pauline Hall Davis, Ruby Dell Hall Brewer, Nellie Jo Hall Snow; and brothers, William Grant Hall, Harvey Gray Hall, and Roy Cecil Hall. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Surratt Family Cemetery in Lambsburg with Reverend Ed Bowman officiating. There will be no formal visitation will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gideons International, P.O. Box 1032, Mount Airy, North Carolina 27030. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
