Curtis Elwood Samuels

Mr. Curtis Elwood Samuels, 56, of 197 Beechtree Circle, Mount Airy, passed away Monday, February 9, 2009, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mr. Samuels was born August 8, 1952, in Randolph County, son of Doris Trogdon Samuels and the late Reginald Curtis Samuels. Surviving are his wife, Delores Ashley Samuels of the home; a daughter and her husband, Lelah and Brian Samuels of Mount Airy; a son, Kevin Samuels of Durham; a grandchild, Claire Samuels of Mount Airy; his mother, Doris Trogdon Samuels of Madison; a sister, Barbara Tilley of Pilot Mountain; and two uncles, Ray Trogdon and Clay Trogdon, both of Asheboro. The funeral service will be held Thursday, February 12, 2009, at 2:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church. The service will be conducted by Dr. Steve Lindsley, and burial will follow in the Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
