Curtis Timothy Sutphin

Mr. Curtis Timothy Sutphin, 59, of Mount Airy, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2009, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mr. Sutphin was born December 6, 1949, in Surry County, to Curtis Joffrey and Gladys Marie Owens Sutphin. Surviving are his loving wife, Donna Midkiff Sutphin of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Angie Sutphin and Jonathan and Erin Gartland, all of Mount Airy, and FC2 Josiah Cagle of San Diego, CA; daughters and sons-in-law, Heather and Skip Key of Mount Airy, April and Dave Coulter of Australia, Megan and Cody Bowman of Mount Airy; thirteen grandchildren; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Darnell and Burton East and Linda Gunter, all of Mount Airy; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, March 14, 2009, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, conducted by Bishop David P. Hiatt and Brother Geoffrey Gentry. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mount Airy, NC 27030.
